a journey i took
i heard much words on its beauty
but none on its darkest days
not centuries but only few decades ago
it was traumatising but nonetheless
it was unforgettable and rememberable
CAMBODIA
...
...
nou nâm - danseuses cambodgiennes
one of the five royal ballerina vividly portraying
the roles of men, women, monkeys and demons
exhibit photo located in the National Museum of Phnom Penh
compound of Ta Prohm
Angkor Wat
the ancient khmer city of angkor temples
Angkor Archaeological Park in Siam Reap
stretches over 400 square kilometers
listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site
two days of ancient stones, ancient craving
stories to read, history to walk through
just another tree
these might be just another strong holding tree
you should they were also the destroyer
overgrowing the wats and bayons
from within the ground of the temples
him who stared at the traumatising piece of historical tragedy
Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum
aka the S21 prison
one among the thirteen others
whom found tortured and killed in
this, now empty, quiet but horrid, sorrowful room
floor of cramped wooden prison cells
disturbing, horrifying, you name it, you could feel it
almost had a heart attack when a tall man
walked out from no where
when i walked to the room two
actually, my instinct told me to hit him on his face
within seconds he walked out
so...this tells you, i don't appreciate surprises
or anyone sneaking around me : )
